Iron County Iron County offers miles of snowmobile trails that are groomed to perfection by the Mercer Sno-Goers and White Thunder Riders Snowmobile Clubs in conjunction with the Iron County Forestry Department. Trail 17 will connect snowmobilers from Hurley to Mercer. Washburn County While the entire Washburn County snowmobile trail system offers spectacular views of the Northwoods, a local favorite is the Trail 39/8 loop northeast of Trego. After leaving Trego on the Wild Rivers State Trail, you’ll cross over the Namekagon River: Wisconsin’s Moving National Park before heading northeast on Trail 39.
