St. Croix National Scenic Riverway A wilderness experience is therapeutic for the soul and fun too.  Float the wild river by canoe, kayak, or tube on one of two national parks in Wisconsin.

Crex Meadows Wildlife Area – One of the country’s premier birding destinations, Crex Meadows provides a variety of ways to discover wildlife. Hike or bike the over 30,000 acres and visit an outstanding education center with your family.

Forts Folle Avoine Historical Park – Explore the fur trade heritage along the historic Yellow River. The park is a living history site with two Fur Trade Posts that have been reconstructed on the site known to be active from 1802 to 1805.

County Motorized TrailsOver 300 miles of snowmobile trails are available in the county and they also connect to a regional trail system to the larger northwest Wisconsin network.  Ride the Gandy Dancer Trail to get to your favorite local trails.  ATV trails also take you through the expansive Burnett County Forest.
